We aim to build connection and trusting relationships with clients to build a personalised treatment plan, using a range of evidence-based strategies including:
Parenting skills and development: Qualified facilitator in parenting programs such as 'Circle of Security' and 'Bringing up Great Kids'. Plus many other resources to help better understand attachment and attunement to improve relationships within families.
Telehealth options available, ask when making contact

Therapeutic supports aim to assist the participant to gain skills and improve independence related to identified needs in areas such as language and communication, personal care, mobility and movement, interpersonal interactions, community living to support positive changes in the person's functioning, development and well-being.
Behaviour Support Service:
New Wave Therapy is neuro affirming in practice: We beleive in a strengths and rights-based approach to developmental deifferences and aim to provide support and adaptations that affirm the client's neurodivergent identity. This is rather than a thinking that we need to fix or cure them of their neurotype!
Behaviour support is about creating individualised strategies for people with disability that are responsive to the person's needs, in a way that reduces and eliminates the need for the use of regulated restrictive practices. (NDSI Quality and safeguards commissions).

As a practical application of Polyvagal Theory, the SSP
acts as a non-invasive, acoustic vagal nerve stimulator,
helping to re-tune the nervous system to better
support connection, collaboration and resilience.
The SSP involves listening to specially filtered music
through headphones alongside a provider, in-person
or remotely. Suitable for children and adults, the SSP
has demonstrated benefits for individuals with
trauma, anxiety, sensory processing differences and
more.
Understanding Polyvagal Theory gives us a scientific
framework that can be applied through physiological,
or “bottom-up” therapies, to help change and improve
how we feel, think and connect with others.
